Clinical trials for the treatment of mesothelioma can be designed to find a new treatment, or to improve a standard one. They test new drugs, therapy radiation, vaccines, new methods of surgery or treatment combinations.

The quality of life, also called attention studies support work to improve cancer patient survival and quality of life, comfort, or reduce side effects of treatment or the cancer itself.

How to enroll in a clinical trial.

If your doctor does not offer surgical treatment or the option he believes will cure or improve your condition, you may be eligible to enroll in a clinical trial. Your doctor can tell what trials are right for you, and how to register.

Who pays for clinical trials?

The clinical trials are not free. As with any medical treatment, you are responsible for paying for the payment. If you have health insurance, you have to see if they have or not to cover the particular clinical trial, intends to experiment. What happens during a clinical trial?

There are four phases of clinical trials for treatment:

Phase IV:

• Evaluate the long-term safety and outcomes of this treatment

• Generally, after treatment is approved as a standard treatment

• It involves hundreds of thousands of people to ensure consistency in the results of

A 2002 study in phase III showed that a new chemotherapy drug regimen was effective in extending the life of mesothelioma patients, whereas reducing pain and discomfort.
