mesothelioma staging

What are the stages of mesothelioma?

Hello. I was exposed to asbestos, silica and hydrofluoric acid fumes at work for 10 years (20 years ago). At 05 I went into respiratory failure. An open lung biopsy showed atypical pleural mesothelial hyperplasia. Pulmonologists say it is related to asbestos but not go further. The courageous people I've talked to dealing with mesothelioma say they had the same atypical mesothelial hyperplasia time. Anyone know the stages of mesothelioma? thanks

* 1st Stage mesothelioma affects the outer layer of the pleura around the chest wall on one side of the chest only. There may be grown in the pleural tissue that covers the diaphragm * Step 1b mesothelioma has begun to spread to the inner pleural layer (closest to the lungs), but remains on one side of the chest. * Stage 2 mesothelioma has spread to both layers of the pleura on one side of the body, and has expanded to form a tumor mass in the pleural tissue around lung, or has begun to spread in the diaphragm muscle or lung tissue * Stage 3 mesothelioma has spread to the chest wall or the covering of the heart (pericardium), but still potentially removable by surgery. Or it has spread to lymph nodes in the same side of the chest * Stage 4 mesothelioma can not be eliminated by surgery, which has spread to different parts of the chest wall, or grown through the diaphragm into the peritoneum, or pleura on the other side of the body, or bodies chest, or through the inner layer of the pericardium. Or it has spread to lymph nodes on the other side of the chest, or above the collarbone. Or it has spread to other body parts.
