What is the difference between mesothelioma and asbestosis?
Nescessarily Asbestosis is not fatal, but can reduce lung capacity and lead to heart failure. It causes chronic scarring plueral walls and can actually lead to mesothelioma. Mesothelioma, on the other hand is a rare form of cancer caused by expsosure prlonged to asbestos. This cancer is highly resistant to conventional radiotherapy and chemotherapy drugs, and often have a survival rate of the poor.
